From The Desk of The Pastor.

We greet you in the matchless and marvelous name of our Lord and Savior Jesus The Christ. Welcome to Oakman Branch Missionary Baptist Church. Here, we embrace the motto, "A Church United In The Love Of Christ."

I believe the primary mission of the church comes from Matthew 28: 19-20. As we carry out this great commission, our ministry should be holistic in it's approach, boundless in it's reach, and unconditional in it's love.

This is a Christ-centered church with the heart to proclaim the gospel, and personify the love of christ through outreach by committing ourselves to ministering to the broken-hearted,the captive, and all those who are bound.

We encourage you to come and glorify God through the dynamic worship experience, the spirit-filled environment, the sound biblical teaching and the loving fellowship here at oakman branch. There are over twenty-four ministries here, and the main objective of all is to glorify God and edify the body of Christ.

Rev. Dr. Ivory Tucker, Sr.

OUR HISTORY

The Oakman Branch Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1906 in Canadys, South Carolina by Calvin Daniels, Febbie Daniels, George Adams, Raver Adams, Channie Wade and Jake Wade. Services were conducted under a bush harbor. Our previous pastors were Rev. Jim Adams, Rev. R. Rivers, Rev. Morgan Owens, Rev. Richard Mays, Rev. S. D. Rickenbacker, Rev. W. W. Toomer, Rev. R. W. Wilson, Rev. H.W. White, Rev James D. Riley, Sr. and Rev. William R. Rivers. All of them did a wonderful work for the lord and fought hard for the gospel of Jesus Christ.

On July 31, 2004 we were blessed to have the Rev. Dr. Ivory Tucker Sr. become our pastor. Since that time we continue to labor in the vineyard for our lord and savior Jesus Christ. Under Pastor Tuckers leadership the Oakman Branch Missionary Baptist Church was reconstructed both spiritually and physically. Through his leadership we have continued to press torward the mark of the high call in Christ Jesus.
